Fella Says: Game 17

Tue Mar 8, 2011, 8:41 AM by Nyiana-sama:iconnyiana-sama:

 Hello everyone! Welcome to the weekly game prompts here for fella! These prompts are similar to Simon Says, where I'll ask you to do something, and then you report back. Every week I will put up a new game, so that gives you plenty of time to work on the projects. Even if you were to miss a week somehow, you are always more than welcome to go back and do an older game. These game topics will range anywhere from a simple comment in this blog, to making a deviation, to doing something special for another deviant. The point of this game is to help get you, my fellow deviants, involved in deviantART as much as possible. :)

Now, time for some very loose rules and informative information.
:bulletorange: fella Says is posted every Monday
:bulletorange: If you miss a week for any reason, you may always go back and complete it later.

Previous 10 Games:
Game 7
Game 8
Game 9
Game 10
Game 11
Game 12
Game 13
Game 14
Game 15
Game 16

So here we go!

Fella Says: The reason for this game being a day late is pretty simple, along with some friends, I attempted to make a recipe that I have never tried before. The recipe was Sea Salt Ice-Cream, and let me tell you, it ended up being a total failure, maybe next time it will be better. :B So what I want to know this week is...

Have you ever tried making an obscure or random recipe from scratch before? How did it turn out?

My mom has Celiac, so I often have to try new recipes for baked goodies for her. For example, yesterday I made some brownies (yummy), pumpkin bars (haven't tried them yet), and snickerdoodles (which tasted ok but fell apart). I also made chocolate dipped strawberries for the first time and they were so disgusting I think I may just have to eat them all myself. ;)

I made a mustard and chocolate syrup sandwich when I was 8. It was delicious (and I still make it on occasion).

We made Polyjuice potion. It tasted great (anything tasted good with Grenadine in it) but we didn't turn into anything.

I made Balsamic Chicken Penne once. Turned out great surprisingly. I'll have to make it again. :D

I tried to mix spices together as a child? I mixed some random things together, heated it in a microwave, then ate it on two slices of bread. I think I was close to puking after wards.

I dunno why I did that then.

When I was little and my family had a little reunion I mixed water, sprite, milk, and coke and it was horrid. :icondisgustedplz:

I made caramel once. It was REALLY good, somehow. But I forgot the recipe that I made up, so I will forever be mourning the day I ate the last bite. :iconforeveraloneplz:

I've never been much of a cook so not really.

One time, when I was significantly younger, I wanted to combine two of the most heavenly children's foods: pancakes and peanut butter.
Mind you, I was ~eight years old.

So, I made some pancake batter using my resident eight-year-old-friendly cook book. And then, for an added flourish, I threw in half of the jar of peanut butter, stirred it around, and was content with the brown slop in the bowl.

Excitedly, I poured the first pancake into the pan and watched the steam rise up from it.

And then I tried to flip it.
The peanut butter fused to the pan! :iconhurrhurrplz:

I once chopped up some carrots, put them in water, with sprinkles on top. I was 8.
It didn't taste bad.
